Properly Enunciated Truthbar

This blog was supposed to be completely about my travels. But I took a *liberal* view on it all and expanded it to anything I find cool or interesting enough that I want to share it. You don’t have to read it, hence my lack of professional writing on this blog. And this is just a category for those niche moments.

I did not make up this phrase, it came from a charity fundraiser called the “Night of Too Many Stars” when John Oliver roasted Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart for putting on a “shitshow” and promised to fix it with a “27 minute long properly enunciated truthbar about prison recession rates in the Midwest”.

Jon Oliver created the late night comedy scene (Samantha Bee comes on next). For that I am forever grateful

Also because it’s a three part irony:

Properly: Is a good way to say professional and well thought out, of which none of this blog matches

Enunciated: This is reflected poorly over the internet, but I have a very strange speech pattern. Lily, the individual who I have talked to most in my life, still loses about 30% of what I say and most people more. The only exception in my life is Marlene, a German exchange student who despite not knowing English, understood me perfectly. Idk

Truthbar: Means facts, of which pretty much everything here is opinions.

So yeah, I have this category to explain my opinions on topics that are near and dear to my life and I hope some people would find curious. You do not have to agree with me of course, everyone is a product of their upbringing and perspective. Plus I throw together these posts in about two hours which is much quicker than how long a trip usually takes me to write up (Israel took over a dozen if I remember correctly).

Anyone who also knows me in the slightest knows that I love to talk in depth about the absolute most random things and if you have a passionate interest about something, I love to hear it. These are just mine.

Read it if you wish. At the end of the day I enjoyed writing it.

Well, mostly enjoyed writing it. (Credit to the Oatmeal)
